**f@sHiOnfL@Re**In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. (~Coco Chanel) January 10 Spring Fashion's are in the Air....2006!!!Well Spring is here or should I say for most of us near? That means we have to get geared up for a change in the trends and what we will observe being sold in all of our adored department stores. My store is getting prepped to have a massive floor set for the NEW Spring items!! How exhilarating! Here are (with the help of NYmag) a list of Spring's Top 10 Trends for Spring 2006! Write them down, put them on the fridge, or tape them to the back door of your closet, but whatever you do remember them when you are dressing/shopping this Spring! :) #1) You can keep your "shine" because the metallic's will still be sizzling....Only this time it's going to be the antiqued gold look. You can do this with jewelry as well! (charms are a good choice) #2) Mid-calf and knee length skirts. It may take some getting used to, but try to put away your minis for this season. The knee length pencil skirts look super hot fitted with a belt and a tucked in "girly" shirt. That is a sexy work look! #3) Floaty dresses. By this I mean It will almost appear as if you are wearing your stunning nightgown out! Who would of thought? :) #4) Jackets! You will notice many trenches of all shapes and sizes....so, ladies you can cover up that waist line if you want! Also, you will see short quarter sleeved jackets that have been cropped above the belly. If you want to hide it or show it off, this season has the jacket for YOU! #5) Lilac is a color we will be seeing a lot of this spring, so go ahead and get something in that hue! It looks good on just about EVERYONE! Plus, you can just mix it into your outfit if you don't want to be ALL lilac. #6) Ruffled banded dresses seem to be taking a stand! They look entertaining and glamorous! The more ruffles, the more FUN!! #7) Bows, bows, bows! Bows, are on pockets, dresses, skirts, jackets.... They were in awhile back, then out...but they are back and the latest trend! #8 Crochet. No, not your Great Grandmother's....(although I am sure it was GREAT!) But, appealing, sexy crochet cutouts!! You will see them mostly on skirts. #9) Belted pants and higher waistlines.... finally, right? How long can you do the Super Super Extra Super Low Rise? The slim fit jeans are still smoking hot though! (SEXY) #10) Drum roll please.... wider, bulkier heels! So EVERYONE can walk RIGHT in them! :) ~And ladies, that is it for now! Sorry I have been absent for such a long while! *Just to let you know: work boots, “daring” print tights, sparkle camisoles (sequins), leather, tweed, cap's, cardigan's, and bead's are some HOT items RIGHT "this moment" still going on for Winter 05.... M. November 27 *Fashion Trends*Here are a couple of trends to watch for this season and hopefully you have already started wearing them! They are very simple, but can make an outfit change instantly for the better. Check your closet before going out to spend money!
~4 SIMPLE TRENDS~
(1)Faux Fur -you can find it on just about everything and its not harming animals. :)
(2)Prints this could be flowers, stripes, hearts, polka-dots, or anything...
(3)Camisoles -anything silky, lacey, satin, velvet, or even cotton. They look great w/ blazers!
(4)Brooches -these have come back! You may want to ask your mother/grandmother for one...
These are all SIMPLE things you can do to help spice up your wardrobe a bit this season! God Bless, M. November 09 M's Must Have's for Winter 05:List of 10~ 1*Something Tweed... pants, shorts, gaucho style. Sport it w/ something "girly" like a lacey top, 2*Military Style Jacket... it can be a blazer or a trench, but the military look is HOT right now. -And no, not the traditional camo. We are talking solid navy, green, or camels. 3*Soft Velvet... a vest, tank, bag, belt, blazer ---something in very soft velvet! teal, berry, & black are all nice colors. 4*Skinny Jeans or Pants... They look sexy! I agree not everyone can pull it off, but if you can then go for it! You can pair them w/ boots, but they look good w/ stilettos! (they can also come in velvet and sateen) 5*"Big Ole" Bag... A nice big bag is a must to throw all of your stuff in this winter! Stop carrying all those tiny pocketbooks that hold only your cell phones! :) Plus, a bag can pull a whole outfit together! 6*Boots... "These boots are made for walking" Yes, get a nice pair of boots! tall, medium, or short it doesn't matter because there are so many to choose from. Personally, I like the tall or medium, because you can wear them w/ your sexy pair of denim. 7*Chunky Belts... they look good w/ dresses, sweaters, T's, or just about anything you put it with. 8*A Flowing/Fun Dress... too many people stop wearing dresses once it gets cold, but they don't have to anymore. You can pair it w/ fun tights, boots, jeans, blazers...etc. Many dresses come in soft sweater material now, looking fantastic on, and they are comfortable. 9*Something Metallic... Either a pocketbook, shirt, skirt, shoes, or belt. Now is the chance to wear bronze, gold, or silver! GLOW!! 10*Hat's... Cabbie, round brim, crochet, whatever, but just be original!! That’s My Must Have’s for Winter 2005. They may not be what NY or Paris is showing on the runway, but it is observations from my work mixed with opinion. November 07 "SURFACE" NBC*Watch "Surface" TONIGHT! (7th) I think I am an Extra on the show?? I'm not positive, so don't be mad if I'm not on.....you'll just have to see.
 -Ok, it wasn't tonight!! I am hoping next week! They don't hand us a schedule for when we will be on....LOL! (Our whole .5 seconds and all) October 30 Dolce & Gabbana I recently purchased a magazine (more like a book) called East Fashion MUSE, and it features 20 years of Dolce and Gabbana. If you have visited my space you know I am a huge fan of the two designers, and I simply adore their creative style! I tried to locate the magazine online, but was sadly unsuccessful. I decided to take pictures from the magazine to show on my blog, but not many turned out well enough to put up. The few that I have are gorgeous and speak vloumes for their talent. It shows you that we can count on Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to be here creating for atleast another 20 years strong!God Bless,

October 18 Fall/WinterWhether it’s for that high school reunion, league ball, wedding, or just an entertaining night out we all need a magnificent ostentatious attire at some point for a particular occasion. Here are a few of the best from this Fall and Winter’s Collection’s. They vary from all different styles, designers, textures, and colors. I am sure you will find one to “suit” your situation. ~FOREVER21 has a few "copies" of L.A.M.B! September 22 Cowboy BootsHere are some suggestions for Cowboy boots. They vary from the "deep heart of the South" boots, to the more contemporary boots. A few websites to check out are: bootcity.com, ninewest.com, urbanoutfitters.com, and even target.com.I found one pair on the target website that didn't look too cheap. The photos from urban outfitters looks like the pair of boots are orange, but in actuality they are a rustic tan. (I took a picture from my phone) I have them and LOVE them!! They are on my feet as I am typing away. In addition, they come in green, black, brown, blue, and pink.....(I say no to the pink!) Hopefully this was somewhat beneficial, and even if it was/wasn’t I will keep adding.... Let me know if I can find out anything else for you! His aptitude is mind-boggling, and he comes up with one remarkably exquisite collection after another. He put just as much talent into his Spring 2006 Collection as all the others before and kept some of the same ideas from 2005. This I love because it’s a smooth transition and a much easier look to attain when we already have comparable items hanging in the closet. ***Here are my favorite pictures from Oscar’s 2006 Spring Collection. ***Not only his clothes, but the model’s are exceptionally elegant too!! I hope you enjoy Oscar’s work as much as I do! I will be submitting additional photos soon… God Bless, M. September 18 Mix it up!~Take what you already have in your closet and mix it up w/ the new fashion trends. Or you can attempt to create what is hot right now by using what you already have. It’s impractical to just not wear your boho styles from Summer 05, your last year cabbie hats, your graphic tees, older scarves, last years leather boots, clogs, older cardigans, cords, hoodies...etc. I purchased a pair of military green boots from Urban Outfitters in Atlanta 4 years ago, and they are nonetheless getting me compliments! It’s all about how you wear it and how you put it together. One of the trends this season is layering, ...so start w/ what’s in your closet! God Bless, M.

September 16 Men's Fashion Continued:MEN'S FASHION~ (CONTINUED) Here are several photos I came across from the pristine 2006 collections. (Gucci, Yves Laurent) They are from the more wearable fashions and will be sported this Spring 06. The added photos include the double breasted jacket, a preppy sweater look, a suit, and a two - button jacket.
PS: the shoes I just really like....& they only came from JC Penny!!! (Stacy Adams Gianni for $59.99) September 07 Top 10 These were listed as the top 10 trends from New York~You will see all of this played down a bit in department stores right now, so check it out! I like the soft velvet look and the corset! I am and always will be a heel girl though!
God Bless/ Maggie September 01 *Men's Fashion*This is a blend of what is happening now and what I like! Someone (a male in his mid-20‘s) wrote to me and asked for tips on how to stand out w/o looking too fashionable...... These photos came from Target (yes-- Target has good deals!), Belk's, Bloomingdale’s (great department store!!!), and Urban Outfitters. They can all be reached online through www.google or there main website. Right now with guys I am seeing graphic tees, corduroy/velvet blazers, sweater's over collared shirts, thermal shirts, polo’s, lacoste shirts/polo’s, GREAT jeans (7 jeans, Express, Diesel), track jackets, and classic hoodies. Now, if you are older and go to work you would NOT wear certain items I just named. Buttoned down shirts are still the pick, but pick a color you normally wouldn't.....or pick strips. Be creative with your wardrobe! Also, if your work allows it...see if you can wear a dress shirt w/ your fiery new pair of 7 jeans! White and Black buttoned down shirts look fantastic w/ the proper jeans! So, that is it for now. I will add more to this later!!  M.August 29 JEANS~*Here are 5 pairs of jeans that are exceptionally dazzling and can be suitable for casual or dressy attire.
~The first pair is Miss Sixty and it is $126. The color is a very light grey casting so it will go w/ pretty much anything! The fit is extremely falttering and has a slight falre @ the leg.
~The next is my favorite brand os jeans!!!!! Rock & Republic! The first pair of them is the Leonard Strike Jeans which is a mixed silhouette jean w/ the R&R Skynard Jean . They are priced @ $193. The other pair is actually in my closest :)...the Roth Kerosene Jeans and they are $170. If you don't have a pair of the R&R then I highly recommend getting a pair! They fit wonderfully and look great on almost everyone!
~Blue Cult is the next pair w/ their 5 pocket Jeans...in Mist. They are $120. The jeans are stretch & have a slim leg, but widen into bootcut. They are just nice basic jeans that fit perfectly!
~The last pair is the Antik Denim w/ their Whipstich Jeans....and talk about DAZZLING!!! These @ $270 are just that! Seen on many celebs, w/ there slim fit and butt lifting action...:)
But, if you can't afford these prices do not fear----Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Urban Outfitters, and the Gap all have nice (similar) jeans as well. If you are lucky you can find "copies". Have a great night!
God Bless/M August 28 How to Wear Boots~Ok, someone wrote to me and asked for tips on wearing boots w/ jeans........ *You can wear your jeans tucked into your socks (Which is what I do) *You can purchase a pair of Thirteen Denim ($230) on thirteendenim.com ~ and they are jeans that actually have the socks already sewn onto the jeans. *You can roll your jeans so they hit just @ the top of the boot. *You can pinch the side of the jeans so that they will be skinnier and fit into your boots. *You can also take a hair rubberband and put it around the leg of the jeans before you put it inside the boots! ...I have been doing this one. So, there are 4 tips for you! If anyone would like more tips or have other questions, please ask!!
To Audrey: If you wear boots w/ bootcut jeans then basicly you want to look for boots that stand out @ the toe & heel. Also, bootcut jeans can be pinched @ the sides to fit into boots- but you get a baggy look.....sometimes too baggy! I always would go for a heeled boot since boot cut slenderizes----you'll assist in getting that tall and sexy look. :) August 26 Marc Jacobs: Fall 2005 New York Fashion CollectionBelow are my selected pictures from Marc Jacobs Fall 2005 New York Fashion Collection. You can't go wrong w/ these sexy, stylish, and sassy new boots! -Wear them w/ skirts, dresses, over jeans, (if done right) w/ guachos, and w/ dress pants. I added a few funky but tasteful ones! :) You can get the "real deal" or the knock offs, but here are a few styles to look for while shopping:
